Did his heart snap or was it a car wreck?
Sad tho. He lived his gimmick.

Did his heart snap or was it a car wreck?
Sad tho. He lived his gimmick. Heart attack at the wheel, hopped over concrete median, through oncoming traffic, hit a tree. In a Jeep Wrangler!!! How did he not flip the thing? One article I read said he died at hospital of injuries. His wife was in the Jeep with him. She in hospital with injuries. I haven't read they are life threatening. When I was a little kid, and saw him hit Ricky Steamboat in the throat with the ring bell, I was like "Holy shit, I just watched a guy die on TV."

Him and Mr Perfect were about the only two WWF guys i could stand. Nature Boy was king. Too bad he was so fucked up and weird at the end of his life. He co-hosted MuchMusic (our MTV) ages ago and was just insane/hilarious. Plus he's the guy everyone thinks i'm imitating when i'm doing Max's "oooooooooooh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah".....

"I met Justin Credible at a show several years ago and he claimed Savage was banging Stephanie in the summer of 94. Steph was 17 1/2 and the legal age of consent is 16 and Vince did not know about it till almost 7 years later therefor it would be hard for it to hold up in court if Vince were to press charges. Any DA would have had it thrown out. But however if Stephanie was 14 like some had suggested I think Vince would have had him killed."
No matter how real it is, you're still being worked. On the first ep of Tough Enough this season, Austin was asschewing on one of the contestants about how committed she was to doing the job and not just being a "star". He asked her what her favorite match was. She pulled some divas match out of her ass, and Austin sent her packing. I turned to the SO, no hesitation, and said Saturday Night Main Event, Randy Savage/ Jake Roberts match. No reason for there even to have been a match. They were both heels, there was no storyline beef between them. Just two of the best technicians in the business at the time, giving it their all.

Sure, those guys are always working, but if you listen to the Leapin Lanny interview, he didn't deny it, he just said that if you are a wrestling fan, on the internet, you know why.
Favorite match from when I was a kid: Magnum TA/Tully Blanchard Steel Cage "I Quit" match. Looked so real. Wasn't technical anything, they were just beaten the shit out of each other, and Tully was screaming like a bitch when Magnum was jabbing a broken piece of wooden chair into his head.
Favorite Match Adult: Might be Hitman Hart/Stone Cold "I Quit" match when Stone Cold passes out in the Sharpshooter.
Best match I saw live, but don't remember shit of: HBK/Mankind from the In Your House: Mind Games PPV. Went and bought tickets day of the event. HBK and Mankind both put it as one of their best. I was too drunk to remember much. Real good PPV. Hardy Boys made their dark match WWE debut, one of em was only 16. Davey Boy and Owen won the tag titles, I think from the Godwins.

My favorite lve match was at the Seattle Center Arena, maybe 1977ish. Dutch Savage and a pre- Superfly Jimmy Snuka vs. The Royal Kangaroos (Jonathan Boyd and Norman Fredrick Charles III) for the Northwest Tag Team Championship. Just a huge bloody mess that went on forever. I was pretty sure the Kangaroos would be lynched by the audience.
I remember the TA/ Tully match. They had great chemistry. You believed they hated each other. Magnum had the world by the sack, but he just had to drive aPorshe.
My favorite angle was the Horsemen breaking Dusty's arm in the Crockett parking lot. Total perfection. Dusty in his Mercedes, the Horsemen in their Caddys. The camera guy kept asking what was going on. He even tried to leave when they started mugging the Dream, the evil JJ Dillon stoppedhim and made him keep filming. And they wouldn't show the actual breaking of the armbecauseit was so "graphic". Fucking classic angle.
I need to watch the Leapin Lanny interview. I wish it were more the kayfabe way. I like to suspend my disbelief, but it'sso hard to anymore.

I remember watching that Horseman/dusty angle on a Saturday afternoon. I think that when ever Dusty wanted to be lazy, he'd shoot an angle where the Horseman broke something, arm/ankle, so he could do promos and vignettes for a month before main eventing a tour and taking all the $$. Lots of stories about Dusty fucking people out of money.
Old Pacific Northwest wrestling fan. How fucking nuts is Billy Jack Haynes??? I saw clips of his shoot interview on youtube (check em out) so I bought the dvd when a sale came around (Black Friday is usually up to 40% off at RFVideo. Billy claims Buzz Sawyer was killed, not a heart attack, because of some drug running shit they were involved in.
Magnum and Tully hating each other isn't much of a stretch at all. From what I've read and seen in interviews, everybody hated Tully. Coked up, arrogant, backstabbing weasel. Dude lived his gimmick. And like a true shit heel, now he's pimping god.
Rick Flair and Sting were the biggest beneficiaries of Magnum's car wreck. Sting got his top baby face spot, and Flair got to keep trading the belt around. Magnum was going to be NWA/WCW's Hogan style superhero. It is easier to rotate the evil villian of the month into feuds, than develop likeable baby faces to go after a heels belt. Heel champ was better in the territory days when you traveled town to town, going up against the most popular guy there.
Favorite Bloodbath as a Kid: Fantastics and Terry Taylor v Sheepherders and Jack victory in a cage made out of barbwire and 2x4s. Bill Watts UWF aired about 1986, but I don't know if that is when the match was from, they aired 1 hour current and 1 hour classics back to back Saturday nights. Ring was painted with courts of blood. It was like the Manson Family just had a ho down.
I'm getting as wordy as you Barry. Some one start breaking my balls and shut me up.
Edit: Sheik's heart still good, because he didn't juice. Beer, weed and coke, and he probably hasn't been able to afford a good coke habit in 15-20 years. His daughter gives him an allowance from his royalties, and he lives off SS and appearances. I think he gets $5000 to do a Monday Night Raw, which is Vince's version of charity.
