I'd say the whole thing is fake. If OBL is dead, That picture has to be fake or bin laden didn't age in the last decade or suffer at all from his ailments or from being "pursued".

Interesting side note. Osama's compound is only about 200 meters from the Pakistan Military Academy. In November of 2010, Gen. Petraeus visited the Pakistan Military Academy. His car must have driven right by bin Laden's compound. The intelligence community has had a pretty good idea where bin Laden was since August of 2010. Petraeus must have known what he was looking at when he drove by the bin Laden compound. I'm sure he had some CIA guys with him doing a little recon on that trip.

I like how a large group of 18-25 year olds spontaneously assembled to celebrate the moment with their handy full-sized american flags. I also noticed that all the major networks cut away to live coverage except NBC (the most liberal network on TV), which kept broadcasting Donald Trump's The Apprentice. Trump, who just happened to be at the White House Correspondent's Dinner for Obama to poke fun at. Because he's a member of the press??? Keep in mind, that during that whole party while Obama was ridiculing Trump, he knew Bin Laden was "dead" since last Sunday.So Trump conveniently settles the birth certificate issue, lays himself out there to be publicly humiliated directly by Obama and then opens himself up to be destroyed by not letting his show cut away for live coverage of Bin Laden's "death" announcement. This is the same Donald Trump who thought Bush was a bozo and regularly contributed to the campaigns of Democrats.

The campaign posters were totally inappropriate, but I assure you that nearly every New Yorker that was alive and living here on 9/11 has a large American flag.

Anyway, this ain't a day for politics. The birthers and the bammy-philes can go back at it tomorrow.

When I was in school I got in a shit load of trouble when I first started to refuse to stand and pledge allegiance. In elementary school they played and made us to sing God Bless America then pledge to the flag, middle school through High school they played the star bangled banner but no singing required then pledge. They let me off the hook over the pledge when I insisted that I would start doing it if they forced another kid who abstained from doing it becasue he was a jehova's witness or some shit. They even tried to say I wasn't excused because I needed a note from my parents and that the JW kid had a note from his parents and the leader of his local church. I still remember the principal from back then. He wore the same sport coat everyday with different shirts and ties. He and the janitor were the only 2 men in my elementary school.

It's a good day all around. I have to say I was a little disturbed by the carnival atmosphere in New York and Washington. I feel the same way when they do executions. I'm very pro death penalty and very pro snuffing OBL, but killing folks is grim business and should be treated as such. All the "we got him" from college kids just bugged me. That said, if I lived in NYC or Washington, I certainly cuoldn't promise I wouldnt have been in that crowd.

I just don't buy the body being handled according o Islamic law. I really can't believe no one pissed on him or shoved a pork chop up his ass. But who knows?
