Focusing on big-game hunting, any theories on why doctors are such prolific hunters? Growing up, my best friend's dad was a doctor and their house was filled with trophy kills. We used to wrap up in bear hides to play games. They even had an ashtray made from a bear's paw. The local airport is filled with stuffed trophy animals and most of them were killed by doctors it seems. And after knee surgery not that long ago, my doctor was talking to me in the recovery room, telling me how he was about to head off to Africa to go lion hunting with a bow & arrow. Btw, is that even legal?
