Reasons for stage names:

1) sounds better than given name, half of Hollywood uses em too

2) so it takes longer for family and friends to find their scenes

3) to disassociate. "I'm not doing IR DPs, its Kelli Kumgobbler."

4) so it is harder for future employers to find their scenes

5) so the dealer can't track em down so easy to get his money for the 8ball he spotted

6) Half of them probably name all their personalities anyway, the whore one is no different.

7) Pimps never let whores keep their own name. They have to be dehumanized to make them easier to control. Think Kunta Kinte/Toby

8) If they used their real names, someone might recognize them from a milk carton

9) Once you get a new nose, bolt ons, botox, and enough tattoos to join a side show, you might as well get a new name.
