Sorry, that is not the same as being paid.

When you work full-time it is OK to pick up the check at the jobsite during working hours. But when you work one hour a week it is NOT OK to ask the employee to spend significant time & travel to pick up a check. After all that's time she can't do other work.

As I said before, I'd bill a client full rate & travel expenses if they wanted me to pick up a check in person.
