The conservative-neoliberal alliance was voted out, while the Green party won and will govern with the Social Democrats. perhaps the ongoing Japanese nuclear meltdown disaster has borne its first fruits?

SPD was hoping to win, but will have to settle for being junior partner to the 1990 Alliance/Green Party. German Christian conservatives and their dogmatic free market liberal allies got ousted from a province they controlled since 1953 by a party that campaigns under an English language slogan "Green New Deal' and their SPD democratic socialist allies.
