I have lived in Merry-land for almost fifty years, and there are certain parts of Prince George's county where a young Steven Hill, with one white parent and completely out of place in a quasi-ghetto environment could get fucked over in many ugly ways. Not excusing his behavior, in fact my reptilian side is glad that the taxpayers' don't have to pay to maintain a guy who was clearly damaged beyond repair, but I believe that his custodial parent bears substantial responsibility, too.
