Also it's totally cool you will let charin review your stuff. He can easily prove from photos he isn't a pirate. It's just we get a lot of dipshits showing up offering "groundbreaking" new developments and once people start saying "well if it's so great show it to us!" they fuck off back to wherever they came from. Then a few months later when I feel curious I check their groundbreaking new page out only to see that it has become home to domain squatters.
Just understand I have very very good reasons to be skeptical.
Will there be a way to do local storage in the future?
You are going to miss out on a Canadian market with the streaming only thing because our country is retarded and we have bandwidth caps.
Let's say I am paying 60 bucks for very high speed internet (i play games) but a bandwidth cap of about 120 Gigs a month. If I surpass my bandwidth cap I get RAPED with charges like 15 bucks for 20 extra gigs.
So what i am getting at is that if an average DVD is around 7 gigs in size and I am using the internet for other things and I wanted to watch a FyreTV movie every few days (or even every day) I would end up paying twice for my movies really quickly. Once to my ISP and once to your company.
With no way to store locally so you can replay a movie without re-streaming how could a user like me or one of my neighbors find this practical?
Are there future plans to allow some kind of external storage. I see that on the FyreTV box there are a couple of USB ports.
Neither this reviewer... (by the way this is a rather positive review)
or this reviewer. (all this is is an unboxing but it shows the USB ports)
What are the USB ports for, these reviewers seem not to know and they have access to the printed manual. Please say they're for attaching external hard drives.
I am very curious about how well FyreTV has done in Canada?
I can't run around downloading GIGs of movies every day, I have to be very very picky. Crysis 2 just got leaked. I already pre-ordered it so I wouldn't feel a twinge of guilt about downloading it 45 days early, but it's 9 gigs so I'm leaving it alone
And I just want to point out that it is pretty much effortless to save a video from a tube site.
