If I buy it, does it get stored in the box (on a hard drive) or do I need to stream it each time I watch?

Could I load it up when I'm back in Ohio at my high speed connection, then take it on the road with no internet, and watch my purchased content?

Edit - there is a break even here if it gets stored in the box. Say your average movie costs $7 in your system, and $25 on DVD. Box is $90. For break even, $7 * x + $90 = $25 * x ; $18 * x = $90 ; x = only 5 movies to break even. Providing I get them forever, that I'm not tied to your subscription.
