Both teams were beat-up from the brutally long NFL season. The greatest game ever played was played a few days after Christmas in 1958. Now the seasons drags on until February and the lords of football want to ADD three weeks to carry the season through the month of February. Football is a brutal fucken game. Even now it has turned into a game of "last man standing", and if the owners get their way it will become even more a test of which playoff team can stitch together a semi-healthy squad.

Roethlisberger did not seem to be himself during that last series of downs. Thought it was very strange at the time. We play the Steelers twice each season and Roethlisberger is usually at his best when the game is on the line. That was definitely out of character. Squealers' fans must still be in a state of shock.
