Might as well have been. Grew my first beard in the summer between Grade 8 and 9. It was kinda gangly, splotchy, so it didn't last long. Between 9 and 10 went much better, so I kept it. I've shave them off 2 or 3 times since, but you get used to stuff, I guess. And it's not goofy long like in my avatar anymore.
