Believe it or not it's envy (or jealousy). I've been to many different countries and I get the usual response. People hate America, but they want to come here to live. The envy comes from our money (economy), but we do work hard for it. As far as Canada is concerned their news media and government hates the USA, and they are indoctrinating their youth to hate us as well. Sad really.
