You are probably Italian yourself that can't make a decent pizza. Italians forgot how to make a decent pizza because the Mexicans are now running the ovens, and all the vegetable ingredients in pizza are 90% Chinese. So you get a pizza that has American cheese, American flour, Chinese vegetables and is done by Mexicans, nothing Italian but the bullshit Italian pizza joint name with a bullshit slogan "Best Pizza in Town".

My favorite restaurant in Toronto is this little crummy diner that is run by Albanian folks. Best falafel sandwiches (in a pita) in the city.
The falafel sandwich is a regional thing though and all can be good. the Albanians don't like to put pickled turnips into their sandwiches while the Syrians love that stuff.
I share Alex's love of cheap cafeteria style foods. I have eaten better but there is something that feels great about eating at a grimy diner and paying 3.50 for an enormous breakfast and coffee.
I don't know much about diner/cafeteria foods aside from the breakfast ones though. I am not sue the menu even extends into lunch fare.
I have noticed in some of the eastern European cultures they like to have a hot meal for breakfast and dinner and that lunch could go either way.
And if you want to get picky about it lunch and supper are the same meal and dinner is eaten later on and breakfast is eaten before lunch/supper.
Anyway my point in this post is that I will stand by my Albanian run diner any day. Their food isn't the greatest on earth but the portions are great and the service is friendly.
Nowhere else in Toronto is it possible to pay 3.50 for a HUGE falafel/pita sandwich. The things it may lack in outstanding quality are made up for because anyone can afford one. If you were gonna spend 3 bucks on a Big Mac you can be taught to spend that money on food that tastes better (my opinion) and is also nutritionally more rich (simple fact, a patty made out of chick peas will always be healthier than one made of beef.
I am an omnivore but I am saying that Albanians run a tight ship when it comes to Mediterranean/middle eastern fast foods.
