Yes people are getting dumber. The seeds of the Progressive controlled education system are finally bearing fruit, or in this case vegetables.

Questions are often basic, such as: "If 2 plus x equals 4, what is the value of x?"

Pentagon data shows that 75 percent of those aged 17 to 24 don't even qualify to take the test because they are physically unfit, have a criminal record or didn't graduate high school.

And some people are still amazed that the USAF gets their collective ass kicked while unlawfully invading other countries. (The average officer is probably somebody who actually did finish high school?)

The armed forces can hardly be blamed for all of those but you might as well add the War On Drugs !

We have yet to meet a standing army that we have not defeated. Insurgencies and guerrilla wars are a different matter. They aren't the same as straight combat.

But we can always be proud to say we never bent over and took it in the ass like say the Netherlands and France.

MacArther ignored the intelligence. The Chinese army kicked his ass. He wanted to use nukes to salvage the situation.

You can't win a land war against the Chinese.

Did we need nuclear weapons to keep the Chinese from establishing supply routes and amassing supplies? If the Chinese used them that would have been their ass. The USSR would have blinked, they were stalling the Chinese for assistance at the time anyway. It was only after Truman pussied out did they know we didn't have the stones to do what we needed to do.

I did mean the armed forces, not the air force. I don't think the US air force is easily beaten. Superior technology and more budget than any other air force.

The US army is another story.

Btw, the Chinese army would royally slaughter any other army in the world. They can throw legions of men into combat; that will always work in the long run. (See Comrade Stalin's strategy in WW2.)

I'm not a movie person, so I miss things like that.

WASILLA (The Borowitz Report) – The Tea Party’s plans for a first annual Tea Party Christmas Pageant have been cancelled at the last minute, an organizer of the pageant confirmed today.
