I just consider her accepting the offer as part of her inexperience. When the leadership of your party comes and says they need you on their national ticket, and the country's already going crazy voting for a guy for president that you've got more experience than... McCain just ran a shitty general election campaign. McCain's team should have known better.

Palin seems to be having a ball being the religious right's it girl. She loves being the politically Conservative version of Paris Hilton. Her accepting the nomination didn't seem to hurt her so much. Just turned out there was no chance of McCain winning with her on the ticket. It's not like she would have been vice-president anyway if she'd have turned it down. Palin lost nothing.
