What a coincidence. I use a couple of services that send articles via USPS. Recently I've been at home working on a a few things at the house and waiting on some articles I ordered. Out of sheer coincidence I have been walking the dog about the time the mailPERSON delivers the mail. Not a single notice was left this week telling me that there were packages for pickup. Just like the rest of the week, today I happen to be walking the dog a few houses down from mine while the mail was being left. Expecting a delivery I watched as the mail was placed in the mailbox and the vehicle drove away. No attempt to deliver anything was ever made. No delivery notice was left.

Later, I go back to the home office and check e-mail and was surprised to see an automated tracking message from my delivery service stating that the package was attempted to be delivered today. I call the post office to check and not only was there the package I was waiting on, but SIX others.

I did go to the post office and asked to meet with the local postmaster.

This only illustrates what I have always said... Just do your job, and you will stand out head and shoulders above your co-workers. Fuck the retards on here who try to make political arguments out of this, they are too stupid to understand anything about how the world around them works. A human being who actually does his job is a very rare thing. You can get anything you want in this country by just doing the bare minimum your job requires. Do anything more than that and the world is your oyster.





You're totally right. Someone just doing their gig as asked is pretty darned rare.

To be perfectly fair, our postal service, for all the bitching and bellyaching, is about the best in the world for what we ask of them.
