Actually several of my home's exterior doors open outward, but only because I designed and built it that way.




ours too and to answer berrys question we did it to allow for a stairway/interior space. high wind areas are really the only reason it would matter.




That way leaves the locking cylinders exposed, instead of hidden behind the jam.
