I get that. I've known tattooers that practiced on oranges and raw turkey or chicken. And I think I read somewhere that there's a fake skin they can use to practice on. But I just can't wrap my head around abusing a poor dumb creature that way. I know that tattooing is done in ag for ID or whatever reasons, but this is just plain cruel.

On the other hand, if someone were practicing tattooing on a little kid or something, I'd be outraged, but probably not as much as over an animal. It's like those UNICEF ads with the sister from the old Roseanne show, with the sad tale of the little kid who spends all his time bringing water back and forth to him mom and eleventyseven sisters. I can watch that and not be moved at all. But that Sarah MacLaughlin one, with the sad eyed pets, well, I'll be honest, I reach for the remote, because I seriously tear up.
