Attempts to transfer capital from developed nations to third world nations largely failed despite the best efforts of the UN, IMF and World Bank, so global warming was invented as a means to de-industrialize industrial nations and allow the third world to industrialize. You left out that scientist hyped the meaning of it to draw attention and raise funds for their own work. Then it caught on and there became political applications people could exploit it for, increasing the hoopla that much more. That's how I think it happened anyway.

If you want to see how the world will look in 50 years, look at penns fortress-mansion. I don't claim to have coined the term, but the idea of a mcmansion surrounded by modern security measures is a hallmark of the vicious world that libertarians would condemn 300 million human beings to.
Every libertarian feels he would be in control of one of these estates, I feel they are right(though there will not be enough fiefs to go around). Morality is at a state that "i can afford it" is a synonym for "i have a right to do it." This is why we must treat libertarians like good S.D.s did (with clubs)in the Weimar republic.
They are the doom of this country, they are ripping it apart and will stop at nothing to see it destroyed, but they are so folksy we dare not question their god given wisdom. We have to fight against the universal misery they call "the free market" yet we will never be anything but martyrs, they will win, the country will be destroyed, and there are no allies to our new axis of the market.

Sounds like you're confusing libertarians with some other group, brainiac. A group that's not a tiny 3rd party or fringe movement. Libertarians aren't the only ones who resent having to support the welfare state and being told how to live by pc bureaucrats. But you're right. Who are these libertarians to think they should have a right to be left alone? They must be made to get their minds right. Their asses belong to the state and their lazier/less talented peers. The free market built this country and made it great. It will repair the economic fabric of our country again, if allowed to flourish unfettered by undo government regulation. It's socialists like you who are slowly destroying it with your class warfare. If you get your way the rich will become much richer and far fewer. The middle class will disappear into poverty with no chance of escaping. All in order to allow leeches like you an easier life. As the debate approached he demanded countless unreasonable and weird rule changes to get the skeptics to back out. They agreed to whatever he wanted, which drove him crazy.
