I got fucked over with AT+T high speed internet. I paid for the top speed which is still slow and the signal drops sometimes, once in the middle of making a payment online... They lied and told me I was under contract with some outrageous cancellation fee, so I stuck it out for a year. When I called to cancel, they told me I was never under a contract. Those fuckers. Time Warner cable all the way. But cable is shady as well, they add all these fees and can't help you or explain if you ask what they're for. I act like a total cunt anytime I have to call customer service and complain.
No home phone, I use my cell or skype, but I know some people who use magic jack and are very happy with it.
