Thanks guys! My natal birthday isn't something I look forward to these days as much as I used to, but there are a lot of things I'm grateful for so I try to remember those instead of the cold hard fact that I'm getting older.
Actually my AA birthday is more important to me than my natal birthday. This will sound massively cheesy but each year of sobriety marks an accomplishment over the hardest fight of my life, and I will always be eager to celebrate that milestone. I know that sounds lame to anyone who hasn't been through the ring-around-recovery game, but I also know there are some people on this board that know exactly what I mean. And btw, when you pass one year you usually get a coin instead of a chip for every year that passes. There's little more in this world that I need beyond what that coin represents, so it's better than any present anyone could give me.
I read that back and laugh at how cliche that sounds, especially here on XPT, but it's true.
Thanks for remembering me guys, even though I'm not around the board as much!
P.S. Thanks for reviewing my book Charin! I'm in talks about working on a new one-- something totally different. At least stylistically.
Holly, can Flynt get it up? I'm sure you'd know, as the floozies who hang around Hustler would be all about trying to slob his knob.
