Let me start off by saying the Birther/ Muslimer movement is the silliest thing going.

But a nice cool day and some nice BC weed conspired to make me start wonder. Now, this is purely in the what- if catagory. Let's imagine for a second the Birthers are right, that Barry's mom isn't his mom, that he was born in (insert Third World shithole here) to non- US citizen parents. This is imaginary, remember. It's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt this guy doesn't meet the citizenship requirements to be POTUS. What happens next? I mean, how does the government go about removing him? What are the procedures? Is there a procedure in place?

I'm not looking for political infighting or anything like that. I'm just curious how the convernment would go about it. Would the VP automatically take over, or would the election be overturned? What would become of Barry? Would he face any kind of legal charges? What about legislation or Executive Orders signed by him?

Once again, this is imaginary. Go to it, fake lawyers.

I'd guess impeachment for fraud, etc. And, I think it would fly through. He was sworn in and took office, so his actions would stand. It would be a political battle if he would be brought to trial or "Gerald Forded". I think.

The birthers occupy the same place on the right, that the truthers did on the left. They are just being allowed some license to harass the President.

The general question of exclusive presidential removal through the Congressional impeachment process and the role of the courts was analyzed to death at least as far back as Watergate. Birthers are like the Birchers who thought that the Russkie Commies were going to use water flouridation to destroy America.
