Kind of, the Roman empire is America... they are both republics. That empire is supposed to fall. Gaa, I can't remember the whole prophecy. Something like the king of the north will rise (?America?) become a great power and the king of the east or west will destroy him becoming the great serpent (?Babylon?). Well I'll look it up later tonight, but there is a great power to rise and then another shortly after it. The second power is supposedly someone that has never had a foot as a large power in the world before.
