The problem with each of these terms, libertarian, progressive, liberal, conservative, etc., etc., is that everyone has his/her own definition, and depending on one's bent each gets the baggage or accolades one's personal bent brings to the table.

So, there is no arguing. You're not talking about the same terms.


And, in any event, even if one were to push the pristine advocacy they envision for their own cause, to get elected it's going to come with a whole pile of smelly baggage.
