One of my solaces after 9/11 were mini-cannolis and espresso at Fortunato Brothers in Williamsburg. I stayed with my college buddy who live a couple of blocks from there until they re-opened the Port Authority.

Until recently, there was a place on Palisades Avenue in Weehawken. I'm pretty sure there are some places in Hoboken still.

Before Giuliani over gentrified "Little Italy" there were some great places to get great "fixings" at reasonable prices. No more. [Though it could be fairly argued that they all would be out of business now in any case].
