I buy a new pair of redwings boots every 2 to 2.5 years and I usually wear those most of the time so I buy new sneakers every 3 or 4 years which are usually vans or similar type sneaker. I have a hard time giving up a pair of comfortable broken in boots or sneakers unless the sole is worn through or there is a hole in them.

I don't know. I usually buy 2 or 3 pairs of New Balance 574s at a time. Right now I have 5 of the exact same sneakers only different colours in rotation.
I but new ones when I find sales or old ones wear out.

I get a pair of Shoes for Crews boots once a year, so my dumb ass doesn't slip and fall in my customers. Other than that, probably a pair of shoes and a pair of boots each year from the Timberland outlet down the street, same pair of each every time. If they are having a good sale when I go there, I'll get something extra. Either a different style of boots, or some dress shoes. I don't think I've bought sneakers in about 15 years.

About 2 pair a year. Just bought a new pair at Sportsmans Guide. 85 dollar shoes for 35 bucks.

Bostonian Men's Prescott Slip-on - $68
These are the best pair of shoes that a man can get. I am so sure that after my 1st pair I bought 10 more pairs of these shoes, so far I am on my 4th pair and I have 7 more of them stocked-up in the closet. The size is very accurate - I usually had problems with correct sizing but with these shoes the problem is gone, I wear 13D.
But the most important feature of these shoes is the comfort, I wear these shoes 10 per workday on average and my feet never feel tired and I never had blisters on the back of the heels with the Prescott shoes, they feel pretty much like slippers.
My Adidas rubber-gel slides that I wear at home weight more than these ones. Sometimes I have to walk far, for long distances and even run so these shoes are a blessing. I wouldn't change these shoes for any other brand or model of shoes out there because these shoes were proven to me by years of wear, even in the rain or snow (I don't reccomend wearing them in snow, but I work in the city). I just hope that Bostonian would not discontinue and keep on making them.

Prefer Rockports and Timberland. Timberland makes a waterproof hiking boot that is lightweight, provides ankle support, and doesn't raise blisters. Good times.
