hmmm. The Cure sucks and the 80's was the best decade in music?
I have to say that I strongly disagree, The Cure fell off after Wild Mood Swings, and saying that the 80s was the best decade for music is like saying Charles in Charge was an indept sitcom with staying power. There was alot of good stuff to come of the 80's and alot of crap, as with any decade. Im not bashing your opinion Gia, just stating my view on it.
There was alot of good stuff to come out of it, but it seemed to me that alot of music coming out in the 80's was definitely pigeonholed with the acception of very few artists who were trying to push the envelope.
In comparison I would say that the 60's, 70's and even 90's were far more progressive as decades of music that were changing things as they went along. Which to me makes a better decade for music. I guess it all depends on which way you look at it and what your genre of choice may be.
I like The Cure, Bauhaus, U2, Nitzer Ebb, Bad Brains, Paul Simon and other artist who werent so set on making top ten singles rather than expanding music, sonically.
This thread is waayy off kilter here.
