Sunday afternoon is the once-a-year opportunity to tour the Mencken house on Hollins street near Union Square. Come on down, and I will treat you to a gut Deautsch lager at some old-fashioned Baltimore public house. Can't be Schelhass' on North Howard Street since it closed back in black '80, and my second choice, the Peabody Beer Stube expired in blacker '82. Maybe more desirable to try Burke's, see if the Lord Baltimore has a decent bar, or perhaps something else.
