For @ the past month here I've spent almost every night trying to will myself not to claw myself every night because of the damn skeeters here. They are out in FULL force this yr. It was a cold winter for us and then it got hot and humid quickly so there seem to be millions. And I've yet to find a bug spray that will keep them at bay. I seriously HATE the little fuckers. I have citronella burning outside most nights too. I dont wear perfume unless I'm going OUT somewhere (not just hanging out back by the pool) and my body wash isnt perfumed now either. My shampoo and all is lemon sage tea tree oil (Paul Mitchell...AWESOME stuff!!) and tea tree oil is supposed to keep bugs away( they make some pet flea shampoos with it). So I dont have anything on me that attracts them. But every time I walk outside they go to town on me...legs and ass mostly. My ankles are ALWAYS bitten up now. I'd kill for a bug spray or something that will actually keep them away. Esp since they are predicting that the bug issue will continue all summer. Insect repellent with Deet in it is the only thing that really worked but deet seemed to make me feel sick after a couple applications so I avoided it. Unscented soap is your best choice to avoid attracting bugs. I use pine tar soap and it doesn't seem to attract bug or repel them. An old guy I met while fishing in Jersey told me to smoke a cigar...no need to inhale just hold the cigar and puff on it enough to keep it lit. It really did keep the mosquitoes and green head flies down to a minimum. I don't think anything keeps them away completely. While camping I had pretty results with citronella incense and smoking cigars to keep bugs down while sitting around the camp fire. _________________________ Fap, Fap, Fap

Tea tree oil is supposed to work on fleas for animals...not sure about any other bugs. Its what I use anyway because i like the line so it doesnt matter. I dont use perfumed anything so I dont attract them any more...but damn...they are all OVER me no matter what.
