AIM, the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation, is being investigated by the regional civil rights office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The investigation was prompted by a complaint from AIDS Healthcare Foundation alleging that AIM is violating patients’ privacy rights by requiring porn performers who use the clinic for STD tests to sign overly broad disclosure agreements.

It is the first time AIDS Healthcare Foundation has ever made such a complaint. This is the same group that has been using lawsuits and other legal maneuvers in an effort to force universal use of condoms in the porn industry.
