It's amazing how blindly some people will interpret things... charin, just find a bumper sticker that says "Liberal" on it and paste it over your eyes. You'll be far happier that way.

There was so few ideas in that bill Republicans could support that not a single one of them even voted for it. Are you saying you think Obama is so stupid that he made a bunch of compromises with Republicans despite the fact that none of them voted for it?

Each Republican in Congress gets a vote just like every Democrat does. Obama has showed complete willingness to forego Republican support if he can get the votes elsewhere. E.g., the only two big bills that have passed, health care and stimulus.
