Elab, exactly how do you think Obama has gone too far to the middle? The two big things that have happened during his presidency so far are the stimulus bill and the health care bill. The stimulus bill passed with 3 Republican votes. The health care bill passed with 0 Republican votes. Is your assertion that he's worried too much about Republicans because he bothered to cut a deal and get 3 of them to vote for one of his two big bills?
