Actually, Marilyn Monroe helped to herald in the sexual revolution, a revolution that, for better or worse, made women more permissive and hence more likely to do porn.

Marilyn was on the cover of the first issue of Playboy, don't forget, and was reputed to have shot a porn loop, although, personally, I don't believe it.
