pete was a fraud before we canned him for belicheck, i'm sure he's smooth with 17-year olds recruiting-wise but as a coach, he's not average if he doesn't have the luxury of massively-superior talent.

when you have a marked advantage in athletes every year, you're lucky or you're not above water with the ncaa. chances are they both realized their jobs and the kids that they could grab given how elite their programs are still lusted for bad, dumb kids and took them for the games where someone who'd be an nfl starter that moment was going to blow up a play or hit 200 yards on the ground against a real defense. average coaching=erased.
