So the point is that South Carolina is full of bigots and inbred idiots. How is this new to anybody? If anything being a bigot would make you more popular in SC.

It's a state that thinks they were on the right side of the Civil War. They think Lincoln was the bad guy and the slave south had the moral high road. (cue XPT redneck to talk about how the Civil War wasn't about slavery because that's what their daddy/cousin told them)

The state flag is the Confederate flag. I'm betting the obvious bigot gets an even larger margin of victory when he is up for reelection.
