The problem with saying that you oppose censorship is that most people are hypocrites. I mean, if someone were to truly support freedom of speech, then that means that person would have to defend pedophilia, actual rape vids, snuff vids, et cetera. When it comes to that point, very few people are willing to stand up and say that they do, in fact, support the freedom to distribute material such as those.

I think that overly broad censorship such as that which the "obscenity" concept represents is detrimental. Without a clear definition, nobody can predict where the line is that they shouldn't cross. However, I'm not sure where the line should be drawn. Different people have different levels of tolerance. Should they all be respected?

As for me, I draw the line at actual physical harm. But I think that people have the right to watch such material once it's produced. I simply believe that the producers of such material should be punished according to the law.
