kirkland wasn't great, he was ok being big and slow in that 3-4 but generally i'd want my mike to be sub-six foot, come out of college with pro squat numbers and an injury history that's got an announcer talking about how he was a game-time decision and the shoulder that's seperated has some suspension harness under those little foam under-shoulderpad set of pads they give you if you need them.

short guys are a pain to cut low enough to just end their careers with ease. a guy in the low-230's can clean up amazingly well as a mlb BUT guys like that have EITHER a defense set up with mammoth inside down guys in front of them just holding linemen up and waiting for the velociraptors to come clean the back up OR they need to be freakishly pain-tolerant AND somehow have an ability to never REALLY take a hit a-la sanders in his prime. spinning, staying absurdly low, strong hands and leverage with the ability to squat and deadlift with some centers but being 5'11" is going to keep you on the field for a few years.
