I saw him in a spoken word performancea lifetime ago. I always liked Black Flag, but his readings weren't really my cup of tea at the time. I've always thought him to be kind of an odd character, and I've never been sure whether his persona is the real him or just a gimmick. He has this really sincere intensity about him, but it seems almost too sincere at times. That said, I think he's a great actor. Fantastic in The Chase. And really compelling in SOA. They really built a deep character for him, and he owned it.
