How does making this entire affair public help at all, though? Are you expecting mob justice to change things?

Take up your issues privately with the person(s) who can do something about this. Most of the posters here just want to post, not be involved in this (yearly?) drama show. And honestly, if you make yourself out to be a target, then you will be targeted. If you don't protect yourself from the inevitable fallout, well, that's your problem.
