Band of Brothers seemed to have a far more even distribution of places/locations per episode, as compared with The Pacific.

In BoB, there was a sense of "progress" to me when watching as they made their way through Europe (probably out of sync with actual durations the real guys spent in some of the locations).

In The Pacific, they seemed to spend a disproportionate amount of time in the same locations. I guess the 101st Airborne's progress in BoB made the endless trench fighting in The Pacific seem repetitive. My guess is this matches the actual limited travels achieved by the main characters -- supposedly it was a hybrid of Sledge's book and another one. I also would have liked to see where the Gunney ended up.

The Pacific's sex scenes also seemed totally out of place with a war documentary / retelling. BoB had a scene or two of brief nudity, but nothing like The Pacific's awkward way-too-long-and-detailed love scene when the one guy was in Australia with his Greek girlfriend (including him simulating the insertion and subsequent humping).
