Funny you should ask. It is playing right now as I write this. Bad acting, phoney plastic dialogue, directing that screams "Look how artsy fartsy I am" while shooting scenes with the characters in the foreground out of focus and the light in the distant background in focus or from a distant table in a restaurant with the water glass on another table in the frame blocking your view (in a very artsy way of course). Thankfully, Sasha Grey's actual dialogue is kept to a bare bones minimum, she is rarely lighted properly, and almost never in focus or in frame. Sadly she seems to be in almost every scene.

You just need to ask youself if you are the kind of person who likes movies where the main character (who is in almost every scene), speaks phoney dialogue without any visible emotion in a monotone voice, while out of focus, with poor lighting and often out of frame or blocked from view by props.

Many critics liked it.
