Maybe this belongs in awop but then again who can predict where a thread will go. This is a place to post about particularly satisfying drinks you've had. Some of them you never forget.

As for myself, there are several:
Costa Rica: we rented a tiny suv in San Jose and struck out on the horrid highways trying to reach our destination driving through fog and rain on the shittiest roads I've ever seen. As we climbed the Arenal Volcano we came through the cloud cover and found this great "soda" on the left side of the road. We pulled in, ordered some Tico Tacos (which are nothing like the shit at Taco Bell) and there I experienced my first Imperial Beer. My God- it was so clean tasting. Refreshing, light, and it complimented the food so well.

College: I returned home on an extended break and a high school friend and his girlfriend came over to my house to socialize. Parents weren't home and we drank two quarts of Tequila and swallowed the worms. We walked outside in the suburban street and tried to count stars, satellites, what have you. It was probably one of the best out of body alcohol experiences I ever had... What made it so cool was the female not acting like one- we were all just on the same channel.

Camping: Pulling my camper up the Saluda Grade with the radiator overheating and worrying about the brakes. I finally made the offramp and wound my way up the mountain roads to the park. Pulled into the campground with the camper and had a flat tire. Got the flat changed thankful it didn't happen on the highway and checked in. I found out someone had canceled and they upgraded me to a spot directly on the lake. Got the trailer leveled and set up in record time, lit the grill and poured a Bourbon in my glass just as the sun went down over the water. My God that was the most relaxing sip of Bourbon ever as the warmth spread from my stomach to my extremities and knocked the chill off the night.

Some of those drinks are so memorable I'll never forget the taste, or the burn. So good. So satisfying. It's not a frenzy or euphoria...it's that warm glow that feels so good.

This is definitely outta my comfort range as far as what I would ever post here. Gia may know a lil about this and maybe Jim.. or not?. The best/worst drinking experience I have was passing around the absolute biggest soda cup you could get from taco bell filled with vodka and a lemon at around 5 am. I was left coast in those days(heyy jif..llc) and I had to pitch in less than 4 hours. Good times, funsies. My spitter was fucken hot, untouchable even, for like 3 minutes.
