The last several posts I have made regarding the economy (and money and investing, etc) have carried within them a message that should be clear, as well as alarming and downright scary:

THINGS HAVE CHANGED, EVERYTHING, and not for the better...I have told many friends here on the phone or via messenger, THE SYSTEM is BROKEN, and even I, Da Burg, was not cognizant of the truly massive and sweeping nature of just how bad things have become, how fucked up the market forces and structure have become and, most disturbingly, how much people have degenerated to the point where they are completely unwilling and unable to do what is right and what is in the best interest of the greater good (they cant even do the right thing out of a sense of selfish self preservation...they ONLY do what is going to provide immediate gratification and/or pleasure, whether it is sex, revenge, pride, etc.)

My (half serious, more jocular than earnest) claims of being recession proof were based in part upon an understanding of things under the old rules and pradigms, etc. As we said before in other threads, claims and boasts and insults I made back in 2007 can hardly expect to be honored or stand up in today's (2010) world....seriously.
