R.I.P. His work is very iconic. I enjoyed the pieces that were shown here in L.A. at the Sunset Marquee. Jessica Simpson just bought a few of his photos. I believe the Janis Joplin was one of them.

His work sucks

He always stayed at the Mondrian when he was in Los Angeles. I got to know him a little bit at the Skybar. What a character, he would talk your ears off about all of his adventures -- including the damage to his nose from all the coke he snorted back in the day. A few years ago, I was invited to a party to see his work at a Santa Monica gallery. He was fun to be around. R.I.P. Jim.
