I've used electric razors and never had a problem. The one thing most people don't understand is that you need to train your beard with an electric razor to get a decent shave. It took me 2 or 3 weeks of shaving with an electric back when I started using one before I got a decent shave. It took me a couple months before I got a close shave and I stopped getting razor burn. Initially, it helped to make sure I had scrubbed my face with soap and hot water. A talc stick for electric shavers also helped with the initial adjustment but using one required alot more cleaning and oiling of the razor blades.
