Look at the commonality here...both cultures were completely fucked and humiliated by World War two, a conflagration so brutal and depraved in its violence perpetrated mainly by the Nazi Germans and their Asian alter-egos, the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces. Look at the holocaust and the manner in which the Germans waged war, and do likewise with the Japs Rape of Nanking, treatement of prisoners and a whole bunch of other shit. BOTH the Germans and Japs performed awful, ridiculous medical experiments on people of races they considered "inferior"....

Germany by May 1945 was so broken and demolished that it was fully 100 years BACK in the past in terms of its sociaety and national infrastructure....likewise Japan was so thoroughly devestated, complete with two radioactive cities in which people kept dying YEARS after the war ended, that they essentially were "starting over" after MAcarthur Arrived on the Bow of the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945.
