Nosey neighbors are anoying and a pest of the highest order. I usually flatten their tires or kill their potted plants/lawn. I live in a blue collar town and only in the last 10 years have they become a problem. I've talked to several people who moved here only to move out becasue they said the people weren't friendly. After some questioning it came out that they just tried to engage their new neighbors too aggressively and got their nose smacked with a rolled up newspaper, figuratively speaking. My town is right on the nexus of the major traveling routes but is cheaper to rent or buy than the surrounding towns without stepping across the river into the ghetto/high crime areas, plus the town is 99.5% white so in the last decade we have a number of families just starting out and young professionals moving in.
