I for one can honestly say that I hate Derek Hay. I think he's the lowest scum of the earth. Someone should do a story on how he 'really' started LA Direct, fact is he didn't. Someone go talk to Hannah Harper!

But I digress.

In this one and only one instance, I agree with Derek and LA Direct. I personally think Jeff Mullen is a bullshitter and the entire 'be in a movie and we'll make you a big star' is a crock of shit. Jeff should just admit he's fucking over the talent so as to put more money in his pocket, bottom line.

Derek is right, with the success of each passing parody Mullens pockets get filled with money, his budgets increase in all facets of production with the exception of talent. Why only talent? Because Jeff knows how to BS the girls, its how he built his career in PR, but no crew or outside contractors will fall for his line of bullshit.

And again Derek is right to point out, why the fuck would Vivid or Wicked or Zero Tolerance or Adam & Eve pay a girl a higher rate than Jeff Mullen, who the fuck is he? Some lucky mope who directs parodies, hell Quazar could direct a parody and submit it for an Oscar. I doubt very much that Mullen could direct for any of those 4 studios. He's shooting parodies, people think it's cute and funny, but it's a fad and this fad too (just like Paris Hiltons 15 minutes) will pass. Mullen is making an ass out of himself by trying to say his movies should dictate that a girl accept less money from him than Vivid or Wicked or Red Light or Adam & Eve.

Mullen is trying to milk it while he can, because I'm sure he realizes too the parody genre will pass and he will be stuck writing press releases for clients at $250 a month again.

So bravo to Derek and LA Direct for sticking up for his girls. Mullen is just another typical porn guy looking to "take advantage" of the "poor economy" line of bullshit that a lot of people use. One minute he rambles about the success of his movies, how well they sell, outperform everything else on the market.. but out of the other side of his mouth he talks about hard economic times bla bla bla. Mullen is a liar looking to stick it to the girls as a means of putting more money in his own pocket, plan and simple .

I still hate Derek though, asshole that he is.
