Time to set up a hotmail or yahoo mail account for those signup and follow-on emails. You can usually forward them to somewhere else (like your real email account) for the duration of your posting so you get any responses, and then cancel the forwarding afterwards if you like.

Or, if you already have hosting somewhere, create an email address (forwarded to your main email address) for each site you join. It just takes a second, and lets you turn them on or off as desired down the road. It also lets you see without a doubt who is spamming you, when you see emails coming in addressed to "freecycle@giajordan.com".

Saves your normal account getting spammed forever.
