jokes aside Bish i don't think anyone genuinely dislikes him, if they do they aren't talking about it, i think people just get a kick out of interacting with a real live sociopath. i bet you also never heard of the time he was arrested for waving a clawhammer in front of an applebee's in what some perceived as a threatening manner. it's good times with this fucking gremlin and the hits keep coming.
consider the classic signs- his grandiose and inflated sense of self, the deep seated rage which is split off and repressed at his core, his constantly changing life story, seeing others around him not as people but as targets and opportunities, the accounts of his outrage at insignificant matters one minute and then cold and ummoved by what would upset a normal person in the next.
the warmth and compassion you perceived from him were more feigned than experienced and only served some ulterior motive. don't beat yourself over it. many of us have been their victims - at work, through friendships or relationships - and not one of us can say, "a psychopath could never fool me."
show people this photo and ask them who looks more likely to feed kittens into a cuisinart, or jerk off while memorizing train schedules- all but one of them would say the guy on the left. how wrong they would be.
